It was Sammy's fourteenth birthday, so all his friends decided to do something special, but they couldn't make up their minds about what to do. Stan suggested bowling so they talked together about going bowling, but they weren't convinced. Rick then suggested visiting a museum, but everyone else thought that would be boring. Then Fred suggested going horse riding, and everyone knew that was the best idea, because Sam loved horses.

They looked around for the best horse riding centre and found one near the beach. They had really friendly horses, and they went along the water. If it wasn't windy, they could even walk in the water, which the horses loved.
Sammy and his three friends got up early, and luckily it was a sunny day with a beautiful clear blue sky. Everyone was really excited, especially Sammy. He was given the biggest horse, called Fearless, because he was supposed to be very brave.
